We need to prepare for the Brexit and this will affect all imports and exports.
There are some things you must know and some things you need to do. So, you need to act now.
With Brexit looming ahead this is just a brief overview of what to expect in the upcoming months with regards to customs and customs clearance.

– All importers and exporters, even if you are trading below the VAT threshold, will need one to continue doing so. You can apply at the government website. Click here
– These codes are applicable to the type of goods you trade in. You can check on the government website for the correct and up to date codes. Click here
– It is very important that you know and understand the terms of sale and ensure they are shown on all invoices.
– The government has stated the VAT on imports will be accounted for using postponed accounting duty will not have to be paid before the goods arrive in the UK port. However, in the event of a hard Brexit under WTO (World Trade Organization) rules many goods will be subjected to duty at various rates. – This will allow you to postpone the payment of import duty as is done with VAT at present. You can apply on the government website. Click here
– All shipments, both import and export, must have a commercial invoice covering the goods.

– If you are a regular importer, are you already familiar with the process? Are you planning on using the delay process procedure? There is no delay process for EXPORTS.
– Your consignees may need to pay Duty on import into the country of import in case OF A NO DEAL. Have they organised a cleaning agent?

We will need to prepare customs clearances on all import and export shipments and therefore we will need to have all documents in our possession before loading. This will give us some extra time during the working day to check and advise you if any changes need to be made.
